R: Please talk for us about Babaji’s personality and his mission.
G: Babaji is considered to be Lord Shiva’s incarnation. However, this wording is not accurate enough. He is an entity who realized Lord Shiva completely and he acts by His authority and behalf. Shiva is not known to be involved in the process of creation, but it has to be seen that objectives change. The whole creation itself can be compared to a feature film that has no pre-written scenario, only the rules of the game are fixed. This also means that each player's place of action is allocated, similar to chess. The actors write the script themselves during the play, so the next event of the story cannot be predicted; only the probability can be seen. Believers think that it was God's decision, especially if something else happened what they wanted. ─ (smile) ─ This viewpoint needs to be refined. We can say that God’s will was fulfilled and this is true on the level of laws that is, the conditions defined in the game rules everybody must keep. God cannot be given checkmate. Nevertheless, between the game rules the freedom is complete. Shiva or any other demigod can create a representative who can try other plays different from the classical, regular ones. In other words, Shiva can realize any other aspect of Vishnu.
R: Is it possible to attribute personal forms to the representatives or demigods?
G: They have no personality in the sense as a human being living in material body but they have individual awareness and authority. I'd rather tell you that there are information fields having individual atmans that join a particular point in the body of God. The information field can be extended without limitation and the connection point can be changed as well. The latter is the reason of the role modification. You can understand me because you are not a person in the sense that human being, as a person, is a separate entity from God.
R: May we try to define his role!
G: He undertook to evolve such conditions that help people to get closer to atman.
R: How new or old is this system?
G: At the level of principles, it is old, but at the implementation level it is new, because the entry of new players creates new opportunities. Entering your quality has also opened new ways. I'm talking about quality because you were important not as a person, but as an information field.
R: Do you mean entering the female quality?
G: Entering the hidden, unexpressed aspect of female's quality so far. The unity of the two basic qualities (female and male) is important for the success of creation. Since the majority of enlightened people are male and moreover sannyasi (renounced monk) this may be an obstacle of the transfer of spiritual culture. Everybody can show his own implemented information-pattern, so the disciples feel as if it is expectation to be sannyasi ─ (smile) ─ although neither Krishna, nor Rama were sannyasi. Therefore, the biggest question was how to develop a spiritual culture, a certain form of training that considers that most of the people won’t be sannyasi and they mustn’t to be sannyasi. This question has already arisen by keeping under observation Yogananda's disciples. Yogananda was sannyasi, and most of his disciples, even it is not officially, chose a similar life form because they could only keep the path of self-realization following his information-pattern.
R: I think I'm starting to realize. So, you were looking for a person who is not a pattern follower so that she (he) will be the subject of the experiment, weren’t you?
G: You should consider this as a honor for you. Yogananda was self-directed, but you're far beyond that. You do not follow any religious rule, you overwrite any dogma, review all principles, wander on paths between paths, answer back insolently, and the most shocking thing is that you are too often right. Nobody wanted to accept as a disciple. I admit neither me.
R: I thought myself as obedient ...
G: On a relative scale…
R: Maybe I am socialized differently compared to Indian women…─ (laughing)
G: This is only partly a cultural issue. You faced your internal program out, even if nobody supported therein. Not to follow external rules does not mean that you are not following any rules. You keep your internal rules. At least it's hard to convince you to change.
R: That's true Yukteswar, but I'm not a defiant person at all. Please don't typify me like someone who is disobedient!
G: You fight an internal struggle for independence. Your self-rule personality sometimes pushes you into the depths while your love for God uplifts. Though you know that the road followers will reach their destination sooner, you do not step into someone's shoes. It's hard with you, but it's not boring. The depths you recognized have provided us valuable information for developing of the project — using the phrase I learned from you. We have already noticed observing Yogananda’s lady disciples, that the Christian women realize the love towards God differently. Their relationship with God is lover, so they will be in love with everybody who embodies God (e.g. a guru). Yogananda’s every lady disciple was in love with him. Of course, it was not arising to realise as love relationship, but still it was love. Love is the only power that overwrites all rules. They didn't dare to do it, you did. When I say I cannot control you, it means "you sweep me off my feet with your love." The creatures don’t have anything above their love, nothing is theirs; everything is received from God. Love is the only property which is theirs, and they decide freely whom they give it for. If somebody directs his (her) devotional love towards God, He cannot refuse it. Krishna promised you to fulfill your request and He entrusted you to me, so what could I do against it? – (long silence)
R: This touched me so deep that you should continue my psychoanalysis in private, please. Let's talk about the goals of his project, if it can be told.
G: I cannot avoid the deep analysis of your personality if you take the public, because I can show some relations through it.
R: All right.
G: I tell the goals of the project in points:
- We are going to build a spiritual path compatible with the modern life form for people who do not follow monastic life. This will result in a new personality pattern and a new road model.
- We are going to eliminate or reinterpret the religious dogmas that are incompatible with scientific results.
- We are going to create intermediate realms, in which developing souls can be purified, where they can learn and get ready for their next incarnation after their death.
- We build connections between existing spiritual realms to facilitate the exchange of information.
- We elaborate a unified, universal philosophy of religion, which contains the individual religions as subset.
- We guide all disciples along their inner path to find their place and service in creation.
R: Do you think that mankind is already grown-up for this?
G: No, but we have no other choice. If we cannot stop the decline of the spiritual level and do not reverse the process, then earthly existence likely will die out in its present form. Because, as I mentioned, God cannot be given checkmate, the game will continue, but it will not be too pleasant for the survivors. God does not want anyone to suffer because God is love. But God must allow mankind in accordance with His own laws, to try out suffering.
