Objectives

Objectives of the UCC Yoga Association:
 

- to present and represent the universal principles of yoga in educational, training, skill development and awareness raising activities,

- to present and study the effects of yoga on health promotion, disease prevention, healing and health rehabilitation,

- to present and study the impact of yoga as a universal, non-religious philosophical system on cultural activities (arts, religions)

 

The UCC Yoga Association will develop the following activities in order to achieve the above objectives: 

- the establishment of a theoretical and practical philosophy of life (Universal Christ Consciousness, hereafter UCC) which unites the essential elements of the main religions,

- the dissemination of UCC as a philosophy of life in order to promote the integration of the individual into society, to provide him/her with inner and outer peace and harmony and to enable him/her to become a dedicated helper of society and of the people in his/her environment,

- religious and philosophical self-education, the unbiased study of the main religions and world views and the promotion of dialogue between different world views,

- training and self-education in spiritual self-knowledge; emphasizing the importance of spiritual self-awareness, faith and a correct philosophy of life for social integration, social relations, disease prevention and health,

- learning and teaching various meditation and yoga techniques and their application in resolving conflicts in everyday life, preventing illness and maintaining health,

- helping individuals to find the most appropriate philosophy of life that will enable them to fulfil their potential as individuals and to live freely and without fear,

- developing and disseminating a culture of behavior and communication in family and community relationships,

- In order to achieve these goals, the UCC Yoga Association supports the creation of small communities where members of the community carry out self-help and mutual aid activities in the practice of the above principles.

 

The UCC Yoga Association achieves its objectives by supporting the following practical activities: 

1. Support the creation of publications, and the organization of related meetings and lectures, including publishing and distribution, that explain and promote the UCC philosophy of life and promote spiritual self-development.
2. Support for the maintenance and development of a website presenting the UCC philosophy of life.
3. Support the costs of events and travel related to the implementation of the UCC philosophy of life.
4. Support the purchase of publications, equipment, etc., the use of which is related to the achievement of the above objectives.
5. Support the establishment of meditation centers and the conditions (material, personnel) for their operation.
