Poetic journeys into the realm of the subconscious

Spiritual poetry is not identical to literary poetry in terms of either subject matter or working method. The only connecting link is the verse form. The subject matter of spiritual poetry is such inner recognitions that arise during meditation and are only related to the earthly plane, insofar as these insights extend into this realm. Although literary poetry is not without inspiration, spiritual poetry is born exclusively from an altered state of consciousness. Its purpose is the conscious processing of these inner realizations.

Thousands of years ago, only spiritual poetry existed, and even during the Renaissance it was still present, but it gradually became more secular and found everyday, often self-serving themes. It is impossible to fully understand the poetry of ancient times without a spiritual perspective. In Dante's Divine Comedy, he describes his own subconscious wanderings, just as Homer does in the Odyssey.

During the process of inner self-discovery, the gates of the subconscious realm open one after another. These are suppressed emotions, desires, and fears which, when released and understood, burn out. These realizations are accompanied by experiences that mostly take the form of poetic works. At such times, an emotional shell cracks around the soul (Atman) and dissolves. For those who enjoy poetry, experiencing it in this form can make it easier to shed their emotional shells and thus achieve purification.

In my writings to date, I have shared many of my inner experiences with readers. The poems collected in my book (Dimension Gate) are strongly thematic, because I used them to explore specific topics. Later, as the subconscious begins to empty, fewer and shorter poems are born, focusing on a single thought. Most of the time, these are flashes of images from previous lives, to which emotions are still attached. As the events are recalled and their connections understood, the emotions associated with them have extinguished. I have collected the following bouquet from my translated spiritual poems.

Mystic lights

Depth of tender emptiness embraces.
Soft silence hides the sound’s traces.
The diamond hard cavity of void
was broken by the silent's noise...

Night’s darkness run away noiseless,
Mystic lights emanated boundless.

Earth Mother

The worlds covering Celestial Lover!
Divine Light who was formed to Earth Mother!
Extraordinary beauty, hidden upholder...
nourishing maternity, in illusion holder.

Our desires attract to Your embracing arms.
Please reveal Your secret mystery for us!
Union with You remakes our dreaming.
Guide Your sons to God from deep sleeping!

Angel of eternity

Be clear as spring water from the depths of the Earth,
then neither the rumble of sea can outvoice your words.
The diamond’s gleam will less bright than what you write;
if you remain yourself you are guided by your inner light.

Joy-song

Joy is the start and joy is the ending.
Joy is the life and joy is the passing.
The frozen years of existence
disappeared to infinite distance.

Joy is the silence and joy is the zest.
Joy is the voice and joy is the rest.
If you have no spurn,
all your life is pleasure.

Jesus on the cross

Non-created broke the silence.
Thunder replied on the instance.

The cross

Summer carries a thorns-wreath,
the dried meadow became heath…
The cross on my back heavy as a boulder,
Whether I can bear it on my weak shoulder?
I can't see when will be the end...
My life with darkness is covered.

Extinguished desires scud.
In sunset the land swims in blood.
The thorns-wreath of the soul
press again the heart in whole...
The tears running from shoulder to depth,
the thirsty earth drinks my blood till death.

Enlightenment

To be or not to be?
To be and to be present!
Not only to be present,
but to be, in present;
This means enlightenment.

Grace

On your eyes is left by dreams a deep furrow,
your trembling soul waits for the not-written tomorrow...

On the wing of the free breeze
your worries are released.
You will never be disowned,
when the soul is owned.

The desires went away,
The shadows passed on way,
The heart is rock-state,
The other worlds don't wait.

Inside and out, the struggle became slight...
The divine grace was born in the inner fight.

Unity with the material world

I accept my body, with all its desires and fright;
I recognize my soul as a source of perfect bright.
I accept the world with all its misery and darkness;
I recognize its origin as eternal glow and lightness.

I extend my soul on my body to penetrate,
that virtue born of fear no longer be its fate.
I extend my light into the world to fill the space,
and dissolve the cramp of matter by divine grace.

Creative love

In moonlight love-bubbles are flying in the wind,
awakening nature’s sleeping force in easy spring.
In summer, love-bells are hanging on the branches,
producing sweet fruits for our hunger-quenches.
In autumn, love-drops are weeping on chill earth,
covering the valleys and fields with dew-pearls.
In winter, love-flakes dance together with the snow,
seasons vary infinitely causing time-chain to grow.

In our hearts a love-spark ignites a blaze, in our dream
so, we overcome the distance and enter to love-stream.

Awakening of soul

Mountains, forests, grounds...
Soul is carried by the clouds.
Hidden, under great pines,
on steep rocks, small fane lies.
Entry turns on the lights.
Slowly looking around
peace and silence are found.
That’s my real home!
Touching the wall inside,
it disappears on sight.
A golden path having spiral shape,
bends upward opening the gate.
This leads to Heaven.
At curves the visions archived,
seem as if alive.
False realities!
When the truth is recognized
you can further arise.
The last vision is dire.
Soul seems to be in fire.
You must remember forever
seeking for God everywhere...
 Here He stays.
 In light pillar He waits.
Now you can catch!
You are His light.
He embraces you on sight.
Your fall in love is a chance
in this cosmic dance.
Delight overflows.
That’s the end of roads.

FAQ
What happens to us after death?
Our physical body will decay and return into the cycle of matter. The etheric body (except for some highly evolved yogis and saints) dissolves into the etheric world. The astral-mental body has the possibility of independent existence, especially if our relatives support its survival by their attachment, or if we ourselves are so attached to the earthly world that we want to keep it alive at all costs. Then, while remaining in this body, we can have certain experiences on the subtle material plane which, depending on one's purity, can give the impression of either hell or heaven, but which in any case are fed by our inner world of illusion and have nothing to do with reality. In many religions this is called th ...
