What does enlightenment mean?
Being in a high state of consciousness. In a narrow sense, the complete surrender of the ego, i.e. the attainment of Atman consciousness (see previous explanations), in a broader sense, the surrender of the causal ego consciousness can be considered the first stage of enlightenment. This means that the person no longer identifies himself/herself with his/her roles (e.g. he/she no longer experiences himself/herself as a politician, bishop, grand master, teacher, etc.), but sees himself/herself above these roles.
