V. Is Existence Suffering?
The Cause of Suffering: Illnesses

Let’s start with the fact that I worked for 40 years as an experimental researcher in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry. I’m an empiricist. In layman’s terms, this means that everything is determined in practice. In the course of my work, I tried out even the most outlandish ideas—if we had the money and time—and if my gut told me, it was possible. A lot of them worked out, but I had to back them up with rock-solid experimental work because no one believed me. That’s how science works. There, evidences are necessary. But empiricism is different: you try it out, and if it works, you do it—and you don’t care what others have to say about it. I have another fundamental trait: if something doesn’t add up logically, I keep searching for the truth and the solution until I reach a level of understanding that no longer raises any further questions. This cannot be achieved in the realm of science. One answer leads to ten more questions. In contrast, on the spiritual path, it is possible to reach a level that leads to the ultimate answer.

I approached energy-based healing methods and all other alternative therapies with the same open-minded attitude. I have tried or studied almost all of them. Currently, I have developed a multi-stage energy-based method that can activate patients’ self-healing abilities. This falls under the category of so-called “gentle therapies.” This means there is no physical intervention in bodily functions, there are no harmful side effects, and the worst that can happen is that it doesn’t work. Anyone can learn the basics of this method and apply them to themselves. I want to emphasize that we do not heal, because healing is the exclusive right of doctors, as declared by law (in Hungary)!

How does an illness develop? The root of every illness is the withdrawal from someone (people) or something (situations). We’ll leave God out of this line of reasoning for now, because that would take us too far afield. Let’s look at simple, everyday situations. Someone hates their mother-in-law (or husband, etc.), but is forced to live with her; they dislike a job, but are forced to stay there; they dislike the system they live in, but cannot escape it. This is the level of mental withdrawal. If mental withdrawal persists, emotional rejection follows. At this point, unpleasant emotions are also associated with the situation, which can temporarily result in symptoms (stomach cramps, a tightness in the throat, insomnia, stress). At this stage, there are still no detectable physical symptoms. If the situation persists, the feeling of withdrawal appears on the energetic level. This means that the flow of life energy becomes blocked somewhere in the body. This will already produce painful symptoms. Conventional medical methods are powerless against these levels, since there are no physical abnormalities detectable by biomedical methods. Most so-called autoimmune diseases fall into this category, but virtually every disease does—it’s just that there isn’t yet proof of it. Doctors may prescribe sedatives, sleeping pills, pain relievers, anti-inflammatories, or antispasmodics, which alleviate the discomfort and general malaise. If the root cause of the problem is not addressed, physical changes will eventually occur, and that is when medical intervention begins.

The more self-aware a person is, the sooner they recognize the underlying causes and resolve them. In this way, they prevent the symptoms of illness from manifesting on the physical level, and thus avoid illness. On the other hand, the more self-aware a person is, the sooner the illness manifests on the physical level if the underlying causes are not addressed. Above a certain level of awareness, deeply hidden blockages emerge, which take a long time to uncover, though it is not impossible.

The interaction between the mental essence of the illness and the environment is much closer than we generally think. The causes are interconnected with the environment, and internal causes are also projected onto the environment. It’s worth paying attention to those devices (washing machine, car, phone) that play a decisive role in our daily lives. Once, by studying the problem myself, I managed to figure out what was wrong with my car. The car started smoking after traveling a certain distance. s still happens these days, men take women for complete clueless when it comes to cars, and try to downplay the problem. I, however, felt that the car would catch fire if I kept driving it. Eventually, they admitted there was a problem, but the mechanic couldn’t find the cause for weeks—and I needed the car. That’s when I began to meditate on the connection between the car and my own body, and I discovered a meridian segment within myself that was blocked. I told the mechanic, “There’s a blockage somewhere in a pipe; I don’t know what part it is, but I can show you roughly where to look.” And lo and behold, he found it immediately, then said, “Ma’am, if you hadn’t come in time, this car could have caught fire.” Similarly, it’s worth reflecting on the illnesses and injuries of a pet owner’s animals, as they serve as indicators—just as the illnesses of small children reflect their parents’ problems.

Now I’ll use my own example to illustrate how an illness was uncovered. I’m deliberately not describing my recovery from my most serious illness, so that no one without proper training tries to follow my example. I wasn’t able to resolve a certain emotional withdrawal immediately, and as a result, I developed digestive (gastrointestinal) problems. I knew that emotional withdrawal was behind it, but I couldn’t find the cause. While we’re searching for the causes, treatment is still necessary because the symptoms impair quality of life and limit free self-expression.

First, an acquaintance of mine (a trained phytotherapist) recommended a herbal treatment course that had already worked for many people. It was a three-month regimen, but I only completed two months of it because my condition worsened. In the meantime, I also got into the emergency room, where they found no abnormalities. After that, I went to my family doctor, who prescribed a three-month course of complex medication, which I completed, but it didn’t help. Following that, she handed me referrals for an endoscopy of my stomach and colon. That was the point when I said, “Enough.” Of course, I said this to myself. From then on, I began systematically monitoring my symptoms, every day, after every meal. When should I eat, and what can I eat? Why? Meanwhile, of course, I continued to treat myself using the method I’d developed, which helped a great deal—I was able to function and get by—but it didn’t resolve the underlying problem, because the unexplored blockage was still there.

Why can’t modern medicine help? In primary care, a doctor has a maximum of ten minutes per patient, eight of which are spent on paperwork. It would be impossible to explain the results of our self-observation during that time. The doctor would have to piece together a diagnosis on the spot from basic observations, which is also impossible. Instead, they send us to the lab and for further tests. But I knew that I had no detectable physical abnormalities that endoscopies or other procedures would reveal. That’s why I constantly searched the internet (including using AI) for connections between my symptoms and various illnesses. The picture began to come together. The medical description of the illness (diagnosis) is important because it often helps identify the cause of mental withdrawal based on symbolic similarities. I found the probable diagnosis and was stunned to discover that there is no medical cure for it—I would have to live with it. I cannot accept that, just as I cannot accept that my digestive system tells me what I can eat and when. No, my consciousness is the one that decides that!

I began trying folk remedies and continued my self-observation. At the same time, I worked on the root cause of my withdrawal and consistently practiced the EYA-N life energy transmission method. This method also allows one to test symptoms, their locations, and the appropriate treatment methods. A digestive problem is very complex. Its source could be the stomach, the pancreas, the gallbladder, the liver, the small intestine, the large intestine, or all of them. It spiritual meaning is that the mental processing is blocked somewhere.

In the end, I succeeded. What months of herbal and pharmaceutical treatments couldn’t alleviate was resolved by drinking a glass of diluted apple cider vinegar. In fact, all my other symptoms disappeared as well, because everything was connected to that one cause. And I understand the connections now.

An average person in such a situation would have gone for imaging tests; sooner or later, they would have found some abnormality, which would have been followed by surgery, and the root cause would still have remained undiscovered. And what was the root cause in my case? A subconscious withdrawal from the intake of physical nourishment, and thus from existence on the entire physical plane. All of this stemmed from a Buddhist way of life, where this was the model for spiritual self-realization. I’ve been well ever since this realization. Apple cider vinegar obviously only helps with the symptoms, but at least it’s inexpensive and free of side effects.

Uncovering the root causes of illnesses leads to entirely unique insights. Even identical symptoms can stem from completely different causes. For a successful recovery, the patient must engage in careful self-observation. Without this, only general methods are available, but even those can significantly improve the situation and provide time for processing. Moreover, the EYA-N method helps you become aware of the root cause of your illness and resolve it. Who could know better what’s wrong with you than you yourself? You are the one inside your body. Why would you entrust that to a stranger? You have to do this because you’re not aware of the connections between your bodily functions and their psychological components.

Even if you’ve already reached a certain level of understanding or have formed an opinion about something, you should still listen to others—though you don’t necessarily have to follow their advice—and you should try every possible therapeutic method available until you find the one that works for you. Don’t shy away from trying something just because others say so, but never proceed recklessly or foolishly. Do your research and gather information from multiple sources. Don’t get stuck in an illness; don’t resign yourself to living as a patient. But if you don’t want to suffer, be prepared to let go of the mental and emotional barriers that are holding you back.

We’ve analyzed the three main components of human suffering (emotions, fears, and illnesses) using one example each. This concludes the series, unless someone asks me to elaborate on something in more detail.

FAQ
Did God really create the world in six days?
Yes, it is possible. The Bible gives a symbolic account of the creation of the material-physical world. The Vedic scriptures honor the Lord Brahma as the creator of the material world, while other scriptures call the Creator by other names. But whichever scripture we look at, the Creator exists in a very different dimension of time than our world. For Lord Brahma one day is more million present earth years and so is his night. So, he had plenty of time. ...
